moon
Bright ice cliffs streak its trailing side. Voyager mistook them for clouds; Cassini revealed walls hundreds of metres high.
Discovered by Giovanni Cassini in 1684, the same year as Tethys.
It has a thin oxygen atmosphere, though extremely tenuous, trillions of times less dense than Earth's.
It has two tiny companion moons sharing its orbit at its Lagrange points.
Its surface has both bright ice cliffs and darker, cratered terrain.
The Cassini probe made several close flybys, producing detailed maps of it.
A faint, dust-based ring arc has also been detected along its orbit, similar to what's suspected at Rhea.
