lunar module Intrepid
The second crewed Moon landing, a precision touchdown next to the Surveyor 3 probe.
The lunar module Intrepid touched down on November 19, 1969 at 06:54 GMT (Ocean of Storms), carrying Charles Conrad and Alan Bean.
The two astronauts spent 31 h 31 min on the surface, 7 h 45 min of it outside the lunar module.
They brought 34.4 kg of lunar rock and soil back to Earth.
The lunar module landed about 160 meters from Surveyor 3, which the two astronauts visited on foot.
The ascent stage returned to the command module waiting in lunar orbit; the descent stage still stands at the landing site.
