lunar module Eagle
The first crewed Moon landing.
The lunar module Eagle touched down on July 20, 1969 at 20:17 GMT (Sea of Tranquility), carrying Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
The two astronauts spent 21 h 36 min on the surface, 2 h 31 min of it outside the lunar module.
They brought 21.6 kg of lunar rock and soil back to Earth.
The ascent stage returned to the command module waiting in lunar orbit; the descent stage still stands at the landing site.
