lunar module Antares
The lunar module that reached the Fra Mauro highlands, Apollo 13’s original target.
The lunar module Antares touched down on February 5, 1971 at 09:18 GMT (Fra Mauro), carrying Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell.
The two astronauts spent 33 h 30 min on the surface, 9 h 22 min of it outside the lunar module.
They brought 42.3 kg of lunar rock and soil back to Earth.
The ascent stage returned to the command module waiting in lunar orbit; the descent stage still stands at the landing site.
