Interesting facts

The team's roots lie in Minardi, which Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz bought in 2005 and relaunched the following year as Toro Rosso, based in Faenza, Italy. Toro Rosso's first win came at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, in the Monza rain: Sebastian Vettel won and became the youngest race winner in Formula 1 at that time. In 2020 the team raced as AlphaTauri, and that same year Pierre Gasly won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. For 2024 the team was renamed Visa Cash App RB and later raced as Racing Bulls; as the second team alongside Red Bull, its main job is to prepare young drivers. In autumn 2024 Liam Lawson took over Daniel Ricciardo's seat at the team. RB F1 Team has been competing in Formula 1 since 2024 as an Italian team. The team scored a total of 221 constructors' championship points. The team's best season was 2026, when it finished 5th in the Constructors' Championship with 83 points.
