Quadrantids peak, 3 January 2029

The Quadrantids meteor shower peaks on 3 January 2029 around 15:43 UTC. Under dark skies and ideal conditions up to ~80 meteors per hour can be seen (ZHR). The radiant, the point in the sky the meteors seem to come from, is at about 15.3 hours right ascension and 49° declination.

Visibility from Hungary (calculated for Budapest): the best moment to observe is 3 January 2029, 06:13 CET: the target stands 71° high in the east, under a dark sky. The calculation is for Budapest; elsewhere in the country rise and set times differ by only a few minutes.
