Race summary

Hamilton won the race from 10th on the grid, 10.5s ahead of Verstappen. Hamilton was the standout mover, climbing from 10th to 1st. Norris lost the most ground, from 5th on the grid down to 10th (down 5 places). The safety car was deployed on laps 6-9. A virtual safety car (VSC) period was in effect on laps 12-14 and on laps 30-31. The winner made 4 pit stops: on lap 7 (medium → medium), on lap 8 (medium → medium), on lap 26 (medium → hard), on lap 43 (hard → hard).
