Race summary

Hamilton won the race from 1st on the grid, 13.7s ahead of Bottas. Pérez was the standout mover, climbing from 17th to 6th. Gasly lost the most ground, from 7th on the grid down to 15th (down 8 places). The safety car was deployed on laps 1-3. The race started dry but rain fell as it progressed. The winner made one pit stop: on lap 27 (soft → medium). The fastest pit stop went to Verstappen (Red Bull) on lap 24, with 20.9s pit lane time. Sainz set the fastest lap, in 1:05.619.
