Race summary

Piastri won the race from 4th on the grid, 4.630s ahead of Norris. Gasly was the standout mover, climbing from 20th to 13th. Verstappen lost the most ground, from 1st on the grid down to 4th (down 3 places). A virtual safety car (VSC) period was in effect on laps 2-3 and on laps 29-30 and on laps 33-34. The race started dry but rain fell as it progressed. The winner made one pit stop: on lap 29 (medium → hard). The fastest pit stop went to Piastri (McLaren) on lap 29, with 2.2s stationary time. Norris set the fastest lap, in 1:29.746.
