Race summary

Verstappen won the race from 1st on the grid, 6.077s ahead of Gasly. Sainz was the standout mover, climbing from 20th to 3rd. Vettel lost the most ground, from 2nd on the grid down to 17th (down 15 places). The safety car was deployed on laps 54-59 and on laps 66-69. The winner made 3 pit stops: on lap 21 (soft → soft), on lap 44 (soft → medium), on lap 54 (medium → soft). The fastest pit stop went to Russell (Williams) on lap 66, with 22.4s pit lane time. Bottas set the fastest lap, in 1:10.698.
