Vettel won the race from 3rd on the grid, 2.641s ahead of Leclerc. Grosjean was the standout mover, climbing from 17th to 11th. Sainz lost the most ground, from 7th on the grid down to 12th (down 5 places). The safety car was deployed on laps 36-40 and on laps 44-47 and on laps 50-51. The winner made one pit stop: on lap 19 (soft → hard). The fastest pit stop went to Albon (Red Bull) on lap 20, with 28.6s pit lane time. Magnussen set the fastest lap, in 1:42.301.
