Race summary

Victory went to Leclerc (from 1st on the grid), with a 0.835s margin. Pérez made the biggest gain, from 18th on the grid to 7th (up 11 places). Vettel had a difficult race, dropping from 4th to 13th. A virtual safety car (VSC) period was in effect on lap 29 and on lap 31. The winner made one pit stop: on lap 20 (soft → hard). The fastest pit stop went to Stroll (Racing Point) on lap 15, with 18.8s pit lane time. The fastest lap of the race belonged to Hamilton (1:21.779).
