The circuit runs right along the city's famous Strip, past the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace and the Venetian, with a 1.9 km straight as its centrepiece. Its 2023 return was deliberately scheduled at night so the neon backdrop would show at its best on camera, though the cold desert night air made tyre temperature a real headache for teams. The inaugural 2023 practice session was red-flagged after barely nine minutes when Carlos Sainz's car hit a loose drain cover; Esteban Ocon's car was also damaged, and Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur said the damage cost the team 'a fortune.' Sainz needed a third energy store fitted beyond the usual two-per-season allowance, earning him a 10-place grid penalty through no fault of his own. The race start was deliberately set for 10pm local time on a Saturday to suit European broadcast schedules, the first Saturday-night start for a world championship round since 1985. The circuit was designed by Tilke GmbH, this time led by Carsten Tilke, son of Hermann Tilke, extending the family's dominance over modern Formula 1 track design. The circuit is located in Las Vegas, United States. Formula 1 has raced here since 2023, with 3 races held so far, most recently in 2025. The first race here was won by Max Verstappen, in 2023. The most recent winner here was Max Verstappen, in 2025. Max Verstappen has won here more than anyone else, 2 times. Among constructors, Red Bull has been the most successful here, with 2 wins. The lap record here is held by Max Verstappen, at 1:33.365 (Red Bull, 2025). This is a night race, held under floodlights.
