We don't have our own real GPS-telemetry-based 3D model for this circuit (typically a pre-2023 or discontinued venue). The outline below is a freely usable, hand-drawn circuit diagram. This layout was in use during: 1959.Circuit diagram: ROY Jules (julesr0y) (CC BY 4.0). source & licenseOther known layouts at this circuit: 1959The Monsanto Park Circuit ran through Lisbon's wooded Monsanto park, measuring 5.44 km, and operated from 1953 to 1971. The layout was unusually demanding: it crossed all kinds of surfaces, at one point even tramlines, a hazard that, combined with racing through a public park, made it a genuinely tricky circuit for drivers. The 1959 Portuguese Grand Prix was the only World Championship Formula 1 race held there, won by Stirling Moss in a Cooper T51 with a lap record of 2:05.07. The race was deliberately started late in the day to avoid the fierce summer afternoon sun, so Moss largely completed his dominant, lapped-the-field victory in the fading evening light. The win transformed Moss's title chances: having trailed Jack Brabham by more than 18 points, he closed the gap to just 9.5 points heading into the season's final rounds. On lap 6, Phil Hill and Graham Hill collided, while championship leader Jack Brabham survived a huge somersaulting crash unhurt, though the retirement badly dented his title bid. You'll find it in Lisbon, Portugal. Only one Formula 1 race has been held here so far, in 1959, won by Stirling Moss.
